ESPEC CORP. as one of the largest manufacturer of environmental test chambers and reliability Test and Evaluation Systems, is the market leader in Asia, offering the widest selection and highest quality equipment.
Founded in 1947 by Mr. Goro Tabai, the company's first president, as a scientific equipment manufacturing company at the present head-office site,
the company evolved with the leading Japanese Industry.
Throughout his work and research for the Japanese Industry Mr. Tabai together with Mr. Koyama led the company to become the market leader for environmental Test chambers in Japan.
In 1983 the company name was changed into TABAI-ESPEC CORP.;
1986 the company listed its shares on the first section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange and Osaka Securities Exchange.
Since 1992 the Environmental Test Technology Centre (Fukuchiyama Test Centre) is recognized as an IECQ-authorized independent test laboratory per ISO/IEC 17025.
In 1993 we certified our Quality System according to the International Standard ISO 9001.
Our main Factory in Fukuchiyama was registered as complying with ISO14001 for environment management systems in 1996 and in 1997 the Utsunomiya Technocomplex followed.
In 2000 the Utsunomiya Laboratory was recognized as a lab service provider in accordance with the Japan National Laboratory Accreditation System (JNLA) based on the Engineering Standardization Act.
In 2001 we opened the Kobe Technocomplex, the facility consists of an Environmental Test Technology Centre and a Supply Chain Management Development Centre.
From the year 2002 we changed our name into ESPEC CORP. and started our Global activities.
In the year 2004 we received the Global Environment Award sponsored by the Japan Industrial Journal.
